About the Workplace, SVA

Dangerous animal infections can have serious consequences, from suffering in animals and humans to economic losses and disruptions in food supply. The Swedish National Veterinary Institute, SVA, is an expert authority that strengthens Sweden's ability to combat animal diseases that pose threats to critical societal functions through diagnostics, research, and advice. Healthy animals – safe people.

The Parasitology Section performs diagnostics of most parasites of veterinary importance. We primarily analyze fecal samples from various animal species and trichinella samples from wild boars. The laboratory is part of SVA's microbiology department and is the national reference laboratory for parasites. We are now looking for a colleague who, like us, has a genuine interest in disease-causing worms and critters.

Job Responsibilities

The work mainly involves setting up cultures for large strongyles and reading these.

Qualifications

You should be a student at the veterinary program at SLU and have practical experience in culturing and reading horse samples for large strongyles.

Conditions

Intermittent employment on an hourly basis as needed until 2026-06-15.
